Even though we haven’t been posting about chocolate like promised, it’s been on our minds. We’ve been eating lots of it and loving every second. With absolutely no guilt- because chocolate is healthy!
I love chocolate and puff pastry together. Our mother would make treats like this for us when we were growing up and I think it’s just another fabulous way of the french! Light flaky pastry pairs incredibly well with rich dark chocolate.
Warm puff pastry is an awesome way to create delectable, easy treats.
Make them with extra dark chocolate for a simple rich dessert.
And for valentines, I love how they resemble little love notes, don’t you?
These sweet little packages will make another delightful treat this holiday!
Chocolate Puff Pastries
1 sheet frozen Puff Pastry, thawed
4 ounces sugar free Dark Chocolate, about 1 Tablespoon chocolate per square
Let puff pastry sheet thaw according to packages directions. Lay sheet flat out and cut into 9 equal squares. Lay a square of chocolate in the center of each square. Fold all corners of square over the chocolate. Corners should meet in the center. Press gently together so corners stick together. Bake at 400 degrees for 12-14 minutes. Let cool and serve.
