I crave pie approximately every other week. Instead of baking up hot pies in the middle of summer, I realized I could get that sweet berry filling without any heat! Let’s eat our pie this way. One taste of this delicious thick berry “milkshake” and you will agree that it lives up to it’s name!
I’m partnering up with Oregon Berries to bring you this blackberry pie goodness using their frozen blackberries! Oregon berries are grown on family farms and frozen right when they are deliciously ripe. After working with Oregon Berries in the past, I knew how great their berries were and jumped at the change to create another recipe with these delicious blackberries. They are the best!
The best berries create the best smoothies and this blackberry pie recipe is such a treat! The base of this recipe is a healthy helping of Oregon Berries’ frozen blackberries, a frozen banana and almond milk. Blended together, these create a creamy, sweet base. Next, we add all the best pie flavors – vanilla, a squeeze of lemon and a dash of cinnamon to bring out that intoxicating blackberry pie flavor. It resembles the moment blackberries release their juices and spices run potent. Oats are added for a delicious thickness and a taste of “pie crust”. Garnish these with cream and a dash of cinnamon for the ultimate treat. It’s a gamble whether I’ll ever make regular blackberry pie again.
This blackberry treat doesn’t end there! I’m so excited to announce that Oregon Berries is giving you a chance to try their berries yourself!!!
