I’ve always had a secret dream of working in a floral shop. Being surrounded by the freshest blooms of the season and arranging floral bouquets for special events always seemed like happy work! Every year, I covet floral shops or any garden in full bloom. We can agree flowers are wonderful… in nature, in a vase beside our work space, as gifts from loved ones, in wedding bouquets. Our kitchens create another platform to revel in floral beauty. Flowers create another special dimension – we get to see, touch, and taste.
Spring is in full bloom and I couldn’t highlight this better than with a flower themed month – floral sweet treat recipes for the entire month of May!
I’m devoting my kitchen to all things blossoming: roses, lavender and pansies in the coming days. I’m saving every beautiful bloom in the neighborhood and blowing my monthly budget on fresh flowers.
