Fact: This was the very first thing I ate coming off our sugar-free challenge. Fact: It was the best decision I made all month.
Are you tired of hearing about our Sugar-Free Challenge yet? The challenge definitely presented opportunities to test our limits and strengthen our healthy eating habits. The experience was really beneficial but we’re not eating that way now, so let us get on to the good stuff! Cookie dough!
A sugar detox can be interesting because sometimes all the sugar in the world doesn’t effect your resolve and other times it’s all you can do to not stuff your face with ice cream. We’re grateful for the opportunity to really think about our food cravings and discipline ourselves the way we did when we did the candida diet. After all our hard work though, we definitely feel it’s time to celebrate with healthy ice cream.
So let’s make today special with a nourishing recipe that will have you feeling like you’re eating something totally naughty but without any horrible impact on your health. We certainly deserve some sweetness! You’ve no doubt seen banana ice cream before, and maybe you’ve already enjoyed banana ice cream this month… but have you added our Almond Butter Fudge Truffles to the blend?
This combination is so creamy and so delicious it feels just like vanilla ice cream with “cookie dough” morsels in it’s creamy base. Mix it up by using peanut butter in place of the almond butter or add a touch of maple syrup or honey if you’re feeling extra sweet! Here’s to healthy desserts and wholesome, delicious foods! Thanks for sharing the experience with us!
Healthy Cookie Dough Vanilla Milkshake
2 Frozen Large Bananas
1/3 cup Almond Milk or Coconut Milk
1-2 Almond Butter Fudge Truffles
1 Tablespoon Raw Honey or Maple Syrup (optional)
- In a high speed blender, add the bananas and coconut milk and blend until smooth. Add the truffles and sweetener and blend for a brief second to break up and incorporate. Enjoy this treat immediately. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 4 weeks.

Oooh yum… I just made almond butter date balls a few days ago, and if there are any left by the time I get back home from my work trip later this week, I think I’ll throw some into a banana milkshake like this!

Glad we could help find a way to eat those almond balls up! :) Hope you love them!
