
There’s just something really special about going to the mall for a “fresh” orange julius. Shopping was always more rewarding as a kid with a refreshing orange drink in hand.
As I was making a smoothie one morning containing orange, I remembered those slushy, icy orange drinks. I was sure that if I made the typical Orange Julius to be healthier and less artificial tasting, I would enjoy them even more. I’m not sure what the real Orange Julius recipe contains (and I’m not sure I even want to!) but when I searched for “Orange Julius” on the web, none were lacking in sugar. I was excited to try my hand at this beverage sugar-free and using the original treat as inspiration, I added a few other fruits and sweeteners for a delicious replica! I was so pleased when my husband (a big time Orange Julius enthusiast) and I were both happy with the healthy results. Here is a healthy orange julius recipe that everyone can enjoy!
Healthy Orange Julius

1 Frozen Small Banana
3 Large Oranges, peeled
1/3 cup Coconut Milk (full fat for a super creamy drink)
2 cups Ice
1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
Instructions:
In a blender, combine all ingredients. Blend until smooth, icy and delicious. Enjoy immediately!
