Using Sugar-Free Resources:
Natural Sweetener Guide: Sugar-Free baking means we use natural sugar substitutes in our recipes. There are LOTS of natural products available and questions most frequently asked of us are about these sweeteners. This in-depth guide includes everything you want to know about natural sweeteners like xylitol, stevia, coconut sugar and more!
The Beginner’s Guide to Sugar-Free Part 1 and Part 2 are both resources on how to get started with going sugar-free. When you are ready to incorporate sugar-free recipes and tips into your lifestyle, start here! We share the why’s of a naturally-sweet diet and lots of tips and tricks on how to keep this diet going. Eating naturally sweet can be easier than you think!
Our Eating Philosophy: If you think we are crazed health freaks that don’t live normal lives, check out this post. We don’t eat 100% sugar-free vegan meals 100% of the time. We strive to eat nutritiously balanced diets and an active, low sugar lifestyle. We’ve discovered eating a plant-based diet with sugar-free recipes has improved our health and lessened the sugar cravings. Creating naturally sweet recipes helps us in our pursuit for health and it can help you, too!
The best way to explore sugar-free baking is to start baking! We have lots of great recipes to tempt you. Some recipes are really simple and easy to make. We also take pride in the taste of our recipes despite being sugar-free. We will admit we are a bit “snobby” when it comes to desserts and we don’t want to share any recipe that doesn’t taste absolutely delicious. The recipes below are simple, delicious treats made with sweeteners you probably already have on hand!

Sugar-Free Challenges
If you are an “all or nothing” person that likes specific goals, you can cut sugar cold turkey by participating in sugar-free challenges. These are a great way to boost your confidence and gain support in adapting sugar-free habits. We like to do these throughout the year for 2 to 6 weeks at a time. Strict challenges with support from friends or fellow bloggers is a great way to start if you are a newbie.
Make a Sugar-Free Plan
Lastly, we would encourage you to prepare and make a plan of attack. Make a meal plan or set some goals for yourself. Get rid of the sugar currently in your house. Set aside time to make sugar-free desserts once a week. Pick up a few natural sweeteners at the store. Follow us on Pinterest and Instagram to get sugar-free inspiration everyday. Tell friends and family. If you prepare for these changes in advance and have a plan for what you are willing and able to do, starting sugar-free will be easy!
Is there anything you’re still curious about? If you have any questions about starting or maintaining a sugar-free diet, leave us a comment or send an email to sisters@naturalsweetrecipes.com. We’d be happy to help you get started!
