Hurray! We’ve moved! Thanks for steering in another direction for us.
We are SO happy you’re here and welcome to the new site!
For the past few months, we’ve been busy working on this new WordPress blog. Like many bloggers, we made the transition to WordPress and we had one major reason for doing so. We were quickly running out of media space (space for pictures!). We’ve tried to keep things pretty similar to the old site, but there is one small significant change we want to point out. We dropped the ly and now we are Natural Sweet Recipes!
Sorry if we were mean and bullied you into coming here. We just figured you couldn’t say no if we offered you better than ever HEALTHY Nutella brownies. Yes, yes, yes.
They are rich, dense, deliciously chocolatey and completely healthy! They are free from dairy, processed white sugar and flour and instead have healthy ingredients (hazelnuts, spelt flour and molasses) that make these bars taste completely sinful. These brownies use our luscious healthy Nutella recipe in the mix! We threw in more vanilla, molasses and some chocolate chips to the batter. And what did we find?
Hazelnut chocolate heaven. Aren’t you glad you came!?
Nutella Brownies (dairy free)
Print Recipe
1 cup Healthy Nutella*, softened
1/2 cup Earth Balance Butter, at room temperature
1 cup Coconut Sugar
1 Tablespoon Molasses
1/4 teaspoon Sea or Pink Salt
2 Large Eggs, at room temperature
1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
1/2 cup White Spelt Flour
1/2 cup Sugar Free Chocolate Chips or Chunks
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 8 by 8 baking dish and set aside.
In a mixing bowl, beat the Nutella, butter, sugar and salt together until light and creamy. Add the eggs and vanilla and stir to combine. Stir in the flour and chocolate chips together until just combined. Pour the batter into your prepared dish, cover and bake for 15 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 12-18 minutes. The edges should be browned and crisp and the middle should be soft but firm. Allow to cool for a bit, cut into slices and enjoy!
*There are other homemade/healthier Nutella recipes that you may want to try out in these brownies. If the recipe you have uses a cocoa/oil combo and no melted chocolate, as a warning, it may not bake up the same. But if you make these with another recipe, we would love to hear how they worked for you!
