Raspberry Green Drink with Mint

June 1, 2012

If you were to ask me what my all time favorite green drink is, I would say this one.

It’s so refreshing that I think it tastes almost like a raspberry mint lemonade. It’s delicious and it just happens to be green and healthy!

You might have your go-to green drink recipe, but this one makes a lovely summer morning beverage and nice change from the usual. Like any smoothie, you can adapt the ingredients to suit your preferences or what you have stocked in the freezer.  And I love that with any green drink, you can just add any greens you have! But what I absolutely adore about this is the fresh mint! I don’t typically have fresh mint around, but I keep a small bag of it in my freezer for occasions such as these. A couple leaves go a long way in creating that perfectly refreshing summer flavor. Enjoy this twist on a healthy classic!

Yum! This looks delicious, I’ve never thought to put raspberry and mint together in a smoothie. Do you ever add supplements? I started adding spirulina to my smoothies after reading this article on the different things you can add to green drinks: http://www.ivlproducts.com/all-day-energy-greens-drink/increase-energy/index.aspx

We have tried different supplements and powders but not for this one. You definitely could though! Thanks for sharing the article!
