A few months ago, I found the book The Healing Powers of Vinegar. For as long as I can remember, my entire family has always been vinegar buffs for it’s cleaning purposes. I thought I already loved it. But I had no idea vinegar could be such a miracle liquid from the suggested uses in this book.
There are a few different kinds of vinegar available and all of them are great for different reasons. Used in combination, vinegars are great from cleaning to cooking to other household uses. If you have children or pets, you’ll be opened up to an entire new realm of ways to use it. And I love that with just a couple different products you can handle household needs, beauty routines and health remedies!
Do you use vinegar regularly? If not, here’s some reason why it’s a good idea to start:

This book shares a variety of uses for each of the different vinegars out there. Depending on what you use and the circumstances in which you use them, vinegar can be a great benefit for you and the environment. I love the ideas presented and the simplicity of them. Here’s a few of my favorite remedies:
White Vinegar:
This vinegar can help aid in immune function and fighting off diseases.
Apply this vinegar on chapped lips or dry skin to help alleviate dryness.
By putting a bit of white vinegar onto bee stings or insects bites, it will help decrease inflammation and promote healing.
Use white vinegar to clean sinks and eliminate odors. Rub out pet stains and other foul stains to both clean and neutralize the smell. One of my favorite ways to use vinegar is to scrub the item with baking soda. The two together are a powerful tool for stains or odors.
It can be used to clean window and mirrors for beautiful, streak free glass.
Clean counter tops, floors and walls for smooth, clean surfaces.
Apple cider vinegar:
This vinegar is stocked full of nutrients, enzymes, and antioxidants. Apple cider vinegar particularly has incredible health benefits for our bodies.
If you find you’re coming down with a flu, a hot tea with apple cider vinegar, ground golden seal and honey can help your aches and sooth your fever.
Dab apple cider vinegar on blemishes to zap breakouts by applying the vinegar through out the day. Apply it on canker sores a few times a day to get rid of those mouth sores.
Drink 2 Tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water in the mornings to relieve constipation.
Drinking this concoction can even help with weight loss!
Decrease the sign and pain of varicose veins by applying apple cider vinegar to the veins.
Who knew these inexpensive and common products could have so many powerful uses? You’ll be amazed at what the benefits of vinegar can be! I was so excited by what I learned, I’ve been inspired to start trying some of them for myself.
