You must know that my “spirit animal” has nothing to do with unicorns and everything to do with the ocean. Instead of having 4 legs and a horn, I’d rather be a mermaid princess who lives in the sea. The ocean is where all the magic is at. Just think about the last time you were on the beach! My summer goal this year is to be near this magical seaside as much as possible!
I really do believe in the powers of the ocean. Vitamin Sea is real! A warm ocean breeze is the therapeutic answer to all life’s woes and if we can’t get ourselves to the beach in the near future, here’s another type of therapeutic boost. A pretty purple drink inspired by the ocean’s magic – colorful sea life, bold coral, salty sea foam and of course, mermaids and sea princesses.
This sea princess smoothie is loaded with vitamin C for an energy boosting, sickness fighting potion. We always emphasize getting vitamin C during the cold months to keep our immune systems strong. Did you know it’s just as important during the summer?! Vitamin C helps aid in healthy skin, collagen formation and wound healing. It is a secret weapon in keeping our bodies in repair mode. Fight the sun’s aging effects and sunburns by wearing sunscreen and keeping your diet high in vitamin C. It’s a powerful antioxidant and an important part of our diets. Maybe best of all, a diet high in vitamin C keeps us strong against illness through all of our adventures and summer travels! This drink is also a great source of vitamin A, iron, calcium, B vitamins and has a surprising 6 grams of protein in each serving.
This smoothie is a fantastic treat for kids – they will love the bright purple color and sweet berry flavor! Add a splash of carbonated water for extra “sea foam” that magically bubbles over. No one will be able to resist! This is the drink to keep you healthy through all your adventures, land or sea. Here’s to the ocean! Here’s to summer!
