Let’s turn to the green side of things for today’s floral post. Spearmint can be deemed a flower with it’s bright green petals and fresh scent, can’t it? It’s fragrant, delicious flavor works incredibly well in tea.
I don’t drink tea every day but when I do, it’s always really special. Special moments include celebrating at tea houses with family or friends or simply enjoying a unique flavor on a cold night. I’m a firm believer in tea’s healing, soothing powers when my body needs a boost. It’s always a pick-me-up. I even love tea during the warmer season. I love drinking a cup at night to help me nip any cravings and avoid overeating. The great news with this tea is that the flavors are so bright and delicious, you can enjoy this drink at any temperature, any time of year!
Like many people, it’s easy for me to buy herbal teas in my favorite flavors. There’s definitely nothing wrong with purchasing good tea products. However, making tea at home is very easy and is a soothing part of tea drinking.
As water rolls to a boil, spearmint turns into a powerful tea essence that is fragrant enough to fill your kitchen. Make it more flavorful with a squeeze of lime and a bit of honey or agave. This is a tea flavor enjoyed in some parts of Spain, where we first heard of this flavor combination. It may surprise you at how flavorful these four ingredients can be. Enjoy this twist on a #FloralSweetTreats with spearmint and lime!
