It’s safe to say that when we’re in the middle of summer, we’re obligated to drench ourselves in lemonade. We’re several weeks in. If you haven’t enjoyed a chilled glass of lemonade by now, just stop and get to it. Summer won’t last forever. Let’s make it tangy! Let’s make it pretty! And as always, naturally sweet.
A couple weeks ago, we were invited by SweetLeaf to sample some of their stevia in a healthy lemonade. When the stevia arrived, the tiny packets had us intrigued! We’ve tried SweetLeaf’s liquid stevia many times but never their powdered product.
One glance at the pretty packets and short ingredient list had us anxious to get it in the kitchen. Though we were leaving town the next day for a girls getaway, we vowed to put that stevia to good use. We headed to the beach and we quickly forgot about any recipe testing with beach views in front of us.
We spent a solid week of heaven in Newport, CA. Then one night towards the end of our trip, Holly’s daughter came up for a night with stevia sweetened lemonade in hand. Surprise! She had already been trying out naturally sweet lemonade with stevia and she had created something so easy to love. Remembering the stevia back at home, we were ready for more sugar-free lemonade!
Many thanks to SweetLeaf for letting us try out this product! The stevia worked so well in this strawberry lemonade and really bursts with sweet and tangy flavor. SweetLeaf comes in convenient little packets so that you can easily sweeten one drink or small recipe. They are perfect for putting in your purse or car for on the go. The thing we love the most is that the ingredient list is minimal. Stevia is awesome, but many products claiming to be natural have a long list of filler ingredients (some even containing sugars!). SweetLeaf uses organic stevia, inulin (fiber) and silica. That’s it!
Lemonade is one of the easiest stevia sweetened recipes out there. Hot summer days call for the sweetest, most refreshing foods and with stevia… it’s a win-win. Get your sweetness without the loads of sugar and calories. Stevia is perfect for lemonade because it doesn’t over sweeten, allowing you to enjoy that perfect tang of lemon. What’s more, SweetLeaf is perfect for beverages because it dissolves quickly. This lemonade practically begs you to pour an extra large glass. It is 100% natural and 100% sugar-free. That means candida diet approved!
We’re in the height of summer so adding juicy strawberries to the mix seemed right. Yes, it felt so right. It’s such a fresh, delicious addition. If you want an extra beautiful drink, allow the lemonade to sit in the fridge for a few hours. The lemonade will soak up the beautiful berries and give you lovely pink lemonade! Big bonus: The fresh strawberry slices at the bottom of the glass create the sweetest ending!
Stevia sweetened strawberry lemonade is a huge treat. This is the way to do sugar-free!
- 5-6 Lemons (1/2 cup Fresh Lemon Juice)
- 3 cups Water
- 4 Packets SweetLeaf Stevia
- ½ cup Sliced Strawberries
- Ice
- Juice all the lemons into a mixing bowl or measuring bowl. Add the water and stevia and whisk until well mixed.
- Add the strawberry slices and ice cubes to glasses. Pour liquid and gently mix. Lemonade will keep well in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Yum, I love making lemonade with stevia! It’s so refreshing in the summertime, and the additional of fresh strawberries sounds like a great idea.
